How To Draw Kid Luffy

Hi STEEMIANS! I am here again going to share you my latest drawing of Monkey D. Luffy in his childhood days. Luffy is the main protagonist of the best selling manga in history "ONE PIECE". Lets roll back the time and see what Luffy looks like in his younger years.

For me Luffy is the coolest anime character ever existed so to be able to draw him is such an honour. One Piece is still going at it up until now and will continue to dominate the manga sales. Whou wouldve thought that just by drawing a manga, Eiichiro Oda is earning 25million USD per year.

Okay, without further ado here is my drawing process of Monkey D. Luffy, Kid version.

#1. First, I drafted Luffy using a no. 2 HB pencil. I always started roughly sketching the head part whenever i draw. You can see below the gif of my pencil draft sketch.

#2. Secondly, after the finished draft sketch. I traced Luffy using a 0.5mm Faber Castel Black Ink Pen. Always remember that tracing or inking is one of the most important part and should be carefully done because it is hard correct any mistakes. You can see below the gif of me tracing Luffy using a black ink pen.

#3. And lastly, the coloring part. I used the Fine Touch Five Coloring Markers for this drawing. I will show you the picture later of the coloring materials that I used in this particular drawing of mine. But for now I will show the coloring process by showing you the gif below.

Luffy's Hat :37 Pastel Yellow & 38 Pale yellow
Luffy's Skin: 29 Bareley Beige & 36 Cream
Luffy's Shirt : 15 Geranium, 11 Carmine, 74 Brilliant Blue & 76 Sky Blue
Luffy's Shorts : 74 Brilliant Blue & 76 Sky Blue
Luffy's Sandals: 21 Terra Cotta
